Kenopsia is a record comprised of pieces composed by Hedonia (Side A) and Bouvier (Side B) which explore a sense of loss and melancholy attached to losing places from our collective and personal pasts. Places at once mundane and banal but also filled with the wonder and awe of youth, what do we feel when the physical terrain that populated the psychgeography of your youth disappears or is transformed beyond recognition? Do we become untethered in time? Do we lose the glue to the emotional collage of our subconscious? Are these new strange days, with no place permanent, all that lay before us?
